About the Settle Whanau:
Just for starters, Keala is the eldest of 5 children.
Her sister Kalani is married and lives in Norwich, England. Before she was
married Kalani also did some singing with a band for a while in California--She sings alternative style.
Her one and only brother, Chad, is married and lives in South Jordan. Utah.
He and his wife, Cilla, are leaders of a performing Maori Culture Group called "Nga Tamariki O Iharaira" meaning, The Children
of Israel.
Her sister Kelly is married and living in Utah. She and her husband Johny
are members of a Reggae/R&B band called the "Smiling Souls". Kelly is lead singer & Johny is on keyboard. It is a
nine piece band.
Ryan, Keala’s baby sister, has been singing and dancing pretty much since she could walk and
talk. She, too, is involved in a Maori Cultural group. She and her husband, Screeve, will soon be leaving to live in Auckland,
New Zealand.
Keala’s dad, David, is in administration at the Brigham Young University
in Provo, Utah.
Keala’s mom, Susanne, left New Zealand as a Registered Psychopaedic
Nurse. Since than she has gone in many directions--mainly in the higher education area. She is presently on leave from Real
Estate so she can spend more time with her children and grand children.
Keala has 8 nephews and 2 nieces.
